What will it be like when I attend Court.

Hi, its Deborah and Euzi

We have recently had a client go to Court on a civil matter and then ring us to say that they were not provided with a jury and it was all very informal.  Just to clarify, you get a Jury in Criminal Courts not Civil Courts and unless the case is being appealed you will only be in front of one Judge, at County court level the matter will be conducted in  a room approximately the size of a large living room.  In a modern Court it will look like the attached picture, at High Court level it will be the same but the room will be larger.   At the trial a County Court  Judge will wear purple robes and a High Court Judge will wear red robes, but only at trial all the hearings before the trial will be conducted with the Judge wearing an ordinary suit.
