With effect from 1 April 2019, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) Regulations 2015, SI 2015/621, was amended so that:
- the rate of the NMW for workers aged 25 or over (the National Living Wage) is increased to £8.21 an hour
- the rate of the NMW for workers aged 21 to 25 is increased to £7.70 an hour
- the rate of the NMW for workers aged 18 to 21 is increased to £6.15 an hour
- the rate of the NMW for workers who are under 18 is increased to £4.35 per hour
- the rate of the NMW for apprenticeships is increased to £3.90 an hour
- the accommodation offset amount is raised to £7.55 an hour
With effect from 1 April 2019, the Agricultural Wales (Wales) Order 2019 came into force, amending the minimum wage rates for agricultural workers in Wales.
