Hi! It’s Deborah and Euzi! Brexit - debate surrounding citizenship continues. The House of Commons has published a briefing paper which brings some interesting arguments such as:
- continuing EU citizenship for UK citizens would not be a ‘logical consequence’
- EU citizenship is a ‘fundamental right’ and could be seen as a breach of human rights if it is not guaranteed
- UK citizens should be able to retain EU citizenship rights as ‘former EU citizens’
