The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has published its ‘Protecting consumers from unsafe product’ report, which identifies weaknesses in the overall product safety regulatory regime. The report emphasises the possible consequences of unsafe products, noting that the Grenfell Tower fire stemmed from a faulty fridge freezer!
