CONSULTATION TO EXTEND BAN ON EXCLUSIVITY CLAUSES BEYOND ZERO HOURS CONTRACTS

Have your say: the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has launched a consultation on a proposal to extend the ban on exclusivity clauses beyond zero hours contracts to include contracts where the workers’ guaranteed weekly income is less than £120 a week. The change seeks to allow low-income workers who cannot secure their desired amount of work hours from their current employer to seek additional work elsewhere. 

The consultation closes at 11.45 pm on 26 February 2021.
