The government has published guidance on new legislation, which will come into force from April 2019, that will require all employers to provide payslips to all workers and show hours on payslips where the pay varies by the amount of time worked. The guidance, although it has no legal effect on interpretation, will assist employers, workers and their advisers to better understand the legislation. It explains that from 6 April 2019, the statutory right to receive itemised payslips will be extended to all workers and workers who think that they have not received a payslip may bring a claim before an employment tribunal...
