The Welsh Government has published guidance on the coronavirus (COVID-19) statutory sick pay enhancement scheme, which supports care workers who have to stay off work or self-isolate due to actual or suspected coronavirus. The scheme will provide funding to allow employers to pay eligible workers at full pay and aims to remove ‘the financial disadvantage to care workers of staying away from work’. The scheme will run until 31 March 2021.
